In 2002-2003, ADER supported a project of electricity supply though solar panels in Mauritania, in the region of Guidimakha. The Mauritanian expatriates in the Paris area involved in the development of their home villages initiated and monitored this project.

The populations concerned

Young Mauritanian villagers wishing to attend professional technical training programmes.
The expatriates' families back home without electricity supply in their village.

  • Training of young Mauritanians to install and service solar equipment.
  • Setting up a credit plan in France open to migrants.
